Formed in 1988, The Watchmen rose to national prominence in the 1990s and were one of Canada's most commercially successful acts of that decade. Their 1994 album In the Trees was certified platinum in Canada and they have several gold-certified records, touring nationally and supporting major Canadian acts. The group disbanded in 2003 and reunited in 2008, continuing to perform occasional shows.
